Yes! A marriage and family therapist (LMFT) looks at how your relationships with people and things affect you, how you interact with the world, and your relationship with yourself. While there is a benefit to having multiple parties involved, as with couple and family sessions, we can still do a lot of great work individually as well.

Anyone can benefit from sessions with a therapist. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to answer the questions you may have.

Online therapy or teletherapy is a video-based therapy session that occurs online instead of in person. With our everchanging world, teletherapy is becoming more popular. There have been many studies that have shown teletherapy to be just as effective as therapy done in person. Teletherapy is a convenient way to still have private sessions in the comfort of your own environment.

I am licensed to provide teletherapy to clients who are physically located in MA or RI at the time of our session. If you are outside of these states during the time of our appointment, your session will be rescheduled and the cancellation fee of $75 will be charged.
You should be in a quiet, private space where you will not be disrupted. Please make sure you have a strong internet connection or have enough data if using a mobile device. I recommend setting your phone on “Do Not Disturb” so that notifications do not pop up and interrupt our call as well.
For safety, if you are in your car, you must be parked throughout the entirety of our session. Sessions in a moving vehicle will be rescheduled and are subject to the cancellation fee of $75.

Our first session will last for 60 minutes. I will ask you questions about what you’re currently experiencing, your personal and family history, and what you’re hoping to achieve by working together. In general, our first few sessions will be spent getting to know each other and identifying what your needs are. We will discuss our plan for our work together and then get to it!

The length of treatment is influenced by many factors. Some include the severity of the situation, the motivation of the client, and the frequency of appointments. Some people only need a few sessions, while others benefit from being involved with a therapist for years.

I kindly ask that you contact me by phone or text by 5:00pm the day before your scheduled appointment. Anything after this will be considered a late cancellation and will be subject to a cancellation fee of $75. This fee is not covered by insurance and must be paid by you.
***Multiple missed appointments may result in a treatment contract and/or a referral to another provider. ***
